Your teens

The teenage years can feel like a very big shift inside family life.

Communication changes. Emotions become bigger. Independence becomes more important. Sometimes women feel like they no longer fully recognise their child or know how to stay connected with them.

A lot of parents feel like they are constantly walking a line between giving freedom and trying to keep their teen safe.

At the same time, teenagers are navigating friendships, identity, social pressure, screens, social media, emotions, school stress, and the growing need to belong and become their own person.

This can create a lot of tension at home.

You may feel shut out, worried, exhausted, or unsure how to help anymore. Your teen may become more reactive, withdrawn, defensive, emotionally distant, or frustrated very quickly.

Often underneath the conflict, both the parent and teen are feeling disconnected from each other.

One of the biggest things I focus on is helping women better understand what may be happening underneath the anger, distance, or emotional reactions.

Teenagers still need guidance, boundaries, emotional safety, and connection, even when they act like they do not want it.

At the same time, they also need space to develop independence, identity, emotional expression, and their own voice.

Feeling unsure how to help anymore

I understand how overwhelming parenting teens can feel

I also understand how overwhelming parenting teenagers can feel in today’s world, especially with the pressures around screens, social media, peer dynamics, and the constant fear that something may go wrong.

My work helps women feel more confident while navigating this stage of family life.

Over time, many women begin feeling more able to communicate with their teen in a calmer way, while also feeling more grounded within themselves.
