Your tweens
The tween years can feel confusing for both children and parents.
One moment your child still wants closeness, comfort, and reassurance. The next moment they want privacy, independence, and for you to stop talking to them and leave their room.
They are not little children anymore, but they are not teenagers yet either.
A lot changes during this stage. Their emotions become bigger, friendships become more important, and they begin trying to figure out who they are outside of the family.
At the same time, many women begin feeling unsure how to respond to all these changes.

You may feel like your child suddenly becomes more emotional, reactive, distant, sensitive, or frustrated. Sometimes it can feel like you are constantly getting it wrong, saying the wrong thing, or struggling to stay connected with them.
One of the biggest things I help women understand is that tweens often still need a lot of connection, even while pushing for more independence.
They may want privacy and space, but they also still want emotional safety, support, reassurance, and guidance from you.
This stage can feel emotionally exhausting when you are already carrying a lot yourself.
Helping women understand their tween
Helping women feel calmer and more confident
My work is about helping women better understand what may be happening underneath their tween’s behaviour and emotions, while also helping them feel calmer and more confident in themselves as parents.
Over time, many women become more connected with their tween, and more able to navigate this stage without every interaction becoming a battle.
